camorama software package provides gnome utility to view and save images from a webcam, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install camorama
camorama is installed in your system.
Make ensure the camorama package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep camorama *
You will get with camorama package name, version, architecture and description in a table
